Jonathan Burns of Wall Candi is proud to announce 'IMIRAGE' — An exhibition by world famous artist 'Jeffrey Kroll' — "The world’s first hybrid artworks using mobile phone photography in their creation."

The following testimonial describes the Artist 'Jeffrey Kroll's' reasons for collaborating with Jonathan Burns at Wall Candi Ltd.

"When Nokia and Epson decided to support with generous sponsorship my Imirage project, there was one man I knew I could rely on to provide vigorous creative input and technical support. Without Jonathan Burns this project truly could not have been realised at such at high level of artistry. I have been devoted as a painter strictly to the painting tradition and its materials, the digital revolution in printing is a new frontier for me and I needed the expertise of someone not only deeply versed in the technology but with the aesthetic discrimination so necessary to an enterprise at this level..The works speak for themselves..and they are a credit to Jonathan in his role as printer and advisor."

'IMIRAGE' is a collaboration between the Artist 'Jeffrey Kroll' and Digital Fine Art Printmaker 'Jonathan Burns'
whilst sponsored by Nokia, with added support from Epson presents groundbreaking works of fine art in the painterly tradition utilising mobile phone photography. The flagship camera product in Nokia’s newly launched ‘Nseries’ range, the ‘Nokia N90,’ is set to revolutionise mobile phone photography. It is the first mobile device to feature ‘Carl Zeiss’ optics and also includes an integrated two megapixel camera. The artist’s use of this device whist consulting the talents and expertise of Jonathan Burns and the magnificent ‘Epson 10600’ large format Giclée printer contributed to the extraordinary ‘Imirage’ artworks .

“Those objects which do not assist in the progress of our cultural and spiritual destiny are those objects which in their own way obstruct it”

Acclaimed American printmaker, Ken Tyler, who worked with artists from Lichtenstein to Hockney and has been recently exhibited at Tate Liverpool and Tate Modern, was quoted recently in RA Magazine:

'"The marriage of new technology and ideas with art techniques ancient as civilisation itself (i.e. drawing). This is a dichotomy ideal for fine art printmaking and artistic collaborations. The art business isn't doing enough to celebrate and combine the technology of digital imagery with the power of the human hand. Yet there are great possibilities, maybe even the greatest artistic opportunities in printmaking lie ahead."
